Field Training

Nature of participation:

The training program (student exchange) lasted several weeks and covered multiple aspects, including theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of accounting information systems, along with recreational and tourist activities. The program also provided opportunities for cultural exchange, enabling students to learn about diverse cultures and contributing to their academic and professional development by achieving specialized educational goals in the field of accounting information systems.

Scientific and practical experience:

I visited the Finance Department at the University of Anbar, where I was introduced to the university's financial and accounting systems, and learned about the approved accounting procedures and financial workflow within the department. The visit also included learning how to prepare and analyze financial statements and accounting reports, and reviewing the accounting information systems and programs used. In addition, I was introduced to final accounts, payroll and revenue records, and daily records, along with receipt and disbursement vouchers, entry vouchers, and advance and deposit accounts. I also learned about the coordination mechanisms between the various departments to ensure accurate and efficient management of financial operations.

Other activities:

We visited several tourist and historical sites, including Fallujah and Baghdad, where we met with Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi and visited Mutanabbi Street. We also visited tourist areas in Ramadi, including Happy Land, and visited the Tigris and Euphrates Corniche.
