Field Training

Nature of participation:

During the training period, we participated in a variety of activities, most notably learning about Kurdish culture and the friendly nature of the Kurdish people. In addition to recreational and touristic activities, the program included both theoretical and practical aspects. We attended lectures and participated in practical experiments in the halls and laboratories of Erbil Polytechnic University. We also visited private companies specializing in data storage.

Scientific and practical experience:

During the training period, we gained valuable academic and practical experience. The program included attending theoretical lectures on advanced topics in the field of computer systems engineering, presented by a large number of professors and lecturers in various engineering fields. In addition, we participated in practical experiments in Erbil Polytechnic University laboratories in the Colleges of Science and Technology and the Technical College. We were able to apply the concepts and theories we learned by conducting practical experiments using specialized devices and equipment. The program also included a visit to companies specializing in data storage, such as the Erbil Data Center, where we learned about the latest technologies and practices used in this field and how data is stored at the national level. This practical experience gained us new skills and enhanced our understanding of the real-world applications of academic knowledge.

Other activities:

Activities included a trip to Shaqlawa with friends and Student Union representatives, where we enjoyed a very enjoyable safari. We enjoyed a tour of the Citadel and the Citadel Market in central Erbil. We also visited Duhok, where we spent a pleasant night admiring waterfalls, stunning views, and towering mountains, and enjoyed a Kurdish breakfast. In Barzan, we visited the Martyrs' Cemetery and the Mustafa Barzani Museum, where we learned more about the Kurdish people's history of struggle. The recreational trips were enjoyable, and we enjoyed every moment of them.
