Field Training

Nature of participation:

Participation in the training included learning about the distinguished educational system at the University of Salahaddin. We visited the Cultural Center, where we were briefed on the university's system and the majors available. We also visited the university's colleges and toured them. We learned about Kurdish culture and gained a wealth of academic and practical experience, in addition to participating in numerous recreational and tourist activities.

Scientific and practical experience:

During the training period, we gained a wealth of academic and theoretical experience through daily lectures. During the first two weeks, we took lectures on web programming, which included assignments and practical exercises. During the last two weeks, we learned about networking, using Cisco software for practical training on networking. We also visited Korek Communications, a unique and wonderful experience. Visiting a large and established telecommunications company was an excellent opportunity to learn about the job market requirements, enhancing our readiness for future employment in these companies.

Other activities:

The training period was not limited to academics alone. We also participated in numerous recreational and touristic activities. We visited the city of Shaqlawa, which is known for its picturesque nature and mild climate. We also visited Erbil Amusement Park and Erbil National Zoo. Historically, we visited the historic Erbil Citadel and the Citadel Market, where we took a tour and learned about the interior of the citadel. We made many friends from Egypt, which expanded our relationships. We also visited the Palestinian Consulate and several historical museums, allowing us to learn about the struggle and history of the Kurdish people.
