Field Training

Nature of participation:

During the field training in the Construction Engineering major, we were able to delve into the technical depth of the educational system through participation in a variety of practical activities at the College of Science and Technology and the College of Technology. This included learning about the latest technologies used in the construction sector, reviewing ongoing engineering projects, and applying theoretical knowledge in a real-world work environment. We also visited a number of specialized engineering departments, where we benefited from the expertise of field engineers and gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities available in the engineering job market.

Scientific and practical experience:

The training period included an exchange of academic and theoretical expertise through lectures and workshops in the laboratories and halls of the Technical College and the Technological College. We also visited construction sites and learned about the labor market and the system they operate under. We reviewed engineering plans and implemented them with the supervising engineers on the site. We also audited and monitored the work of contractors.

Other activities:

We visited numerous tourist and historical sites, such as the cities of Babylon and Baghdad. We were also hosted by the Palestinian Consul and the Sheikh in charge of the Imam Hussein Shrine.
