Field Training
Nature of participation:
The field training I participated in was a rich experience spanning 21 days at the University of Anbar in the Republic of Iraq. The training was carefully organized, including regular daily shifts between practical lectures held in the university's modern laboratories and the College of Agriculture studio. The program began with a warm welcome from the college deanship, followed by assignments to various laboratories that best suited our educational needs.
Scientific and practical experience:
Through the training, I was able to apply all the theoretical concepts I learned in practice, in the soil and post-harvest crop storage laboratories, as well as the tissue culture and greenhouse laboratories of the College of Agriculture. These laboratories were equipped with the latest technology, providing me with a real opportunity to enhance my skills and gain valuable practical experience in the field of agriculture.
Other activities:
It was also wonderful to learn with students from diverse cultural backgrounds; there were participants from Egypt and Yemen, in addition to my Iraqi colleagues. This experience gave us the opportunity to conduct field visits to several important agricultural regions in Iraq, such as the Middle Euphrates region and the Anbar Desert, which helped us gain a deeper understanding of Iraq's environmental and agricultural diversity. We also conducted cultural visits to the historic cities of Baghdad and Hit, which deepened our understanding and appreciation of the rich Iraqi culture. Thanks to this training, I was able to develop my agricultural knowledge and enhance my scientific expertise, in addition to learning about and interacting with other cultures, which had a significant positive impact on my psychological well-being and my educational journey.
