Field Training
Nature of participation:
Two-week intensive field training in the computer labs at Balqa' Applied University, focusing on developing our skills in various media fields.
Scientific and practical experience:
As part of our participation in the intensive student exchange program at Balqa' Applied University in Salt, we witnessed significant development in our skills and knowledge in the field of media. This program provided a comprehensive experience that covered various aspects of media, from the basics of design and journalistic editing to the art of photography. It also provided us with in-depth exploration of advanced fields such as digital marketing and artificial intelligence, essential skills in the modern media world. In the field of journalistic editing, we learned how to formulate news and reports, enhancing our ability to produce accurate and impactful journalistic content that meets professional media standards. We also received training in photography techniques and the importance of choosing appropriate shot sizes to effectively convey a message. In addition, we were able to learn the basics of graphic design using available software, enabling us to produce engaging and professional visual content that reflects the skills we acquired. This experience was not just an academic learning experience; it was an opportunity to significantly develop our practical skills, enhancing our ability to confidently face the challenges of the digital age. This experience also helped us develop our independence in addressing complex issues in the media field. In addition to its profound professional impact, the program contributed to improving our communication skills and gave us the opportunity to discover the rich Jordanian culture, a cultural dimension that added value to our experience.
Other activities:
During the student exchange program, Al-Balqa' Applied University organized a series of diverse trips that combined cultural, educational, and recreational aspects, allowing us to gain unique experiences and learn about Jordanian history and culture. In the first week, we visited Jerash, the historic Roman city replete with antiquities and stone inscriptions. This visit was an opportunity to delve deeper into the city's history. Following our visit to Jerash, we headed to Ajloun Castle, where we viewed the archaeological exhibits that reflect the authenticity and historical heritage of this region, adding a rich educational and historical dimension to our visit. In the second week, we moved on to the educational side of the program with a visit to the Arabia Weather Center, a center specialized in studying weather and climate. There, we learned about the latest technologies used in weather analysis and forecasting. This was followed by a visit to the Media City, where we learned about broadcasting and filming processes and how to manage media programs from within the studios. Our experience was not limited to the academic aspect only, but extended to include building new friendships and getting to know different cultures.
