Master of Physics

Specialized course
Nature of participation:
I participated in an intensive week-long program of advanced theoretical lectures in quantum physics, mechanics, and quantum computing.
Scientific and practical experience:
Theoretically, we began the course with a scientific review as an introduction to quantum physics, which included a physical definition of the most important topics in quantum physics, as well as mathematical writing. We then began to learn about advanced theories in quantum mechanics, including quantum information theory and superstring theory. We also began to learn about quantum computing and its distinction from conventional software. We then moved on to more specialized topics, such as the physics of the dark universe and the quantum mechanics of black holes. Practically speaking, the course included a daily training and discussion session on assignments the lecturer asked students to complete within a specific timeframe. These assignments included deducing algorithms to solve problems and answering specialized questions in various aspects of the course. We also included a lecture on how to apply for master's and doctoral scholarships and related jobs. We then learned about simulation programs that can be used for specialized physics projects. Finally, we learned how to create a personal blog using GitHup.
Other activities:
In addition to the intensive academic program, my participation in PAPS 2025 included a range of cultural and social activities that contributed to fostering a spirit of cooperation and belonging to the Palestinian academic community.
Among the most notable of these activities was meeting colleagues from various Palestinian universities and regions, which enabled the exchange of expertise and experiences and the building of a valuable network of scientific and social relationships. I also had the opportunity to interact directly with a group of international professors and researchers participating in the school, which provided an inspiring opportunity to broaden my academic horizons.
On the cultural front, I went on a tour of the Jordanian capital, Amman, which included visits to the Roman Amphitheater, Hashemite Square, the old markets in downtown, and the Grand Husseini Mosque, allowing me to experience the city's cultural heritage.
One day of the program concluded with an outdoor group dinner, hosted by Scientists for Palestine. The dinner brought together students and lecturers in a friendly atmosphere at a historic restaurant, strengthening the bonds of communication between the school community on both the human and scientific levels.
