Field Training

Nature of participation:

The training lasted several weeks and included a variety of aspects, including theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as recreational and touristic activities. The program also provided me with an opportunity for cultural exchange, through which I was able to learn about different cultures. This helped me develop academically and achieve multiple goals in various fields of my specialization.

Scientific and practical experience:

The student exchange program provided me with an exceptional opportunity to discover new communities through diverse scientific and cultural activities. Thanks to my university, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, I enrolled in a distinguished internship at Anbar University, where I was able to delve deeper into my academic field in new and diverse ways.

The experience was enriching and went beyond theoretical study, providing me with a valuable opportunity to expand my knowledge and explore a new culture. The experience included introductory tours of the College of Engineering's state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, as well as field trips to the Department of Construction and Projects, the Department of Renewable Energy, and the Department of Medical Equipment.

One of the highlights of my experience was a specialized course in solar energy, which added significant practical value to my knowledge of renewable energy.

This intensive training program, which combined theoretical and practical aspects with the help of a group of distinguished professors and engineers, clearly helped me enhance my practical experience and significantly develop my academic knowledge.

Other activities:

The exchange experience was filled with cultural and recreational activities. I had the opportunity to meet colleagues from many countries, such as Nigeria, Sudan, Yemen, Jordan, and the Gulf states, and discover their diverse cultures. One of the most rewarding aspects of the experience was interacting with the generous Iraqi people, who have a deep and sincere love for the Palestinian people, which gave me a special sense of warmth and closeness

We toured and visited various places in Iraq, such as Mutanabbi Street, known for its culture and civilization, and some religious sites associated with our Shia brothers. We also visited the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, where we enjoyed the natural beauty and the profound history associated with these two great rivers. We also participated in various recreational activities with our exchange colleagues, which made the experience rich and comprehensive, adding a distinct cultural and human dimension.
