Nature of participation:
I participated in a student exchange program representing Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie at Al-Balqa' Applied University in Salt, Jordan, as part of my English major.
The program included a range of academic and training activities that enriched my university experience and honed my practical skills. These included:
Academic Lectures:
I attended a number of lectures given by specialized and experienced professors in the field of English language and translation, which provided me with the opportunity to learn about diverse teaching methods and enhance my academic knowledge.
Scientific Conference:
I participated in a conference held at the University of Jordan - Prince Hussein Auditorium entitled: "Between Human and Machine: Translation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." Participants discussed the impact of modern technology and artificial intelligence on the future of translation and the status of human translators in light of these developments.
Specialized Training Workshop:
I attended a distinguished training workshop on English language teaching methods presented by an American doctor, with the participation of a group of specialized professors. I received a certified certificate from the university proving my participation in this workshop, which constitutes a qualitative addition to my academic career.
Lectures in Media and Photography:
Given the importance of media and visual skills today, the training included attending specialized lectures in media and photography and visiting the Media City, Jordan Television, and the Jordan Media Institute. This allowed me to develop additional skills related to my specialization and employable in the job market.
Conference on Editing and Hate Speech:
I actively participated in a conference held at the Rotana Hotel, which addressed the topic of "The Role of Editing in Promoting Hate Speech." This conference provided an important opportunity to understand the impact of visual media and modern technologies on shaping public discourse, and emphasized the importance of responsible use of editing and media to serve society, away from intolerance and hatred.

Gain advanced skills in English language teaching methods and engage with modern teaching methods.
Learn about the latest trends in translation and the era of artificial intelligence.
Develop skills in the field of media and photography as supporting skills for the major.
Build awareness of the impact of montage in shaping media discourse and hate speech.
Enhance academic and practical skills through interaction with experts and specialists.
Other activities:
Participate in a recreational and cultural trip that included a visit to the city of Ajloun and enjoy the scenic views on the Ajloun cable car.
Visit the ruins of Jerash and the archaeological sites and learn about their historical heritage.
A tour of downtown Salt, including the Salt Mosque, the museum, and several prominent landmarks.
Site visits to other governorates, such as Amman and Zarqa, to learn about the local culture and historical landmarks.
