Nature of participation:

Jury at the Venice Film Festival.

Scientific and practical experience:

My participation in the Venice Film Festival was a rich and enriching experience, based primarily on two pillars: the English language and practical experience in documentary and cinematic filmmaking in general. During the festival, we covered the fundamentals of this field, such as screenwriting, directing, and photography, all of which are essential areas of my specialization in media technology. Through this event, my theoretical and practical knowledge in these fields was enhanced.

On the other hand, the festival had a prominent cultural and social dimension. I had the opportunity to learn about diverse cultures from different continents and Mediterranean countries, and all the customs and traditions they carry, which may be new and unfamiliar to us. Opinions and ideas were exchanged between us and the participants, with each individual expressing their own perspective based on their cultural context.

As for film analysis, we discussed the works on display and provided constructive critical feedback, which contributed to developing our skills in positive criticism aimed at the public interest.
