Nature of participation: I participated in a civil engineering training program in partnership with Chelikesh Company. My Kurdish colleague and I would go daily to the construction site of a new university campus and sit with the supervising engineer. We would be explained the construction stages from scratch to completion, and we would see what was explained theoretically in action. We visited the site several times and observed the construction process.

Scientific and practical experience: For me, this experience taught me many things that I might not have learned at university, where I would receive theoretical explanations and then go directly to the site to see the practical application.

Other activities: Engaging with the great Omani community, making friends from various Arab countries, and visiting wonderful tourist and archaeological sites such as Al Hamra, Adam, Misfat Al Abriyeen, and others.
