Academic Semester Study
Nature of participation: A semester study at the University of Parma, which included multiple practical and theoretical courses, in addition to the larger aspect of tourism and exposure to multiple cultures and languages. The Erasmus exchange program also includes a significant amount of cultural and linguistic diversity, allowing students to learn a great deal about multiple cultures in one place.
Scientific and practical experience: The type of study courses varied somewhat, both theoretically and practically. For example, in the practical course, we delved into the field of studying and analyzing big data using specialized software. This was unusual and very useful in our courses. In the theoretical courses, we learned about the history of electronic libraries and how libraries transformed from the old manual system to electronic ones through the use of computers. The subject was different from the usual, but very enjoyable.
Other activities: Beyond studying and university, the study period was interspersed with many different and very diverse activities, which gave us the opportunity to meet other students from all over the world and form personal relationships with them, friends who remained even after the end of the study period. In addition, the many trips allowed us to enjoy the beauty, history, and antiquity of Italy and its cities, such as the capital, Rome, which is one of the most beautiful I have seen. We also went to visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris, which was a unique and very beautiful experience.
