Field Training

Nature of participation:

We had a weekly scheduled session in the university laboratories. The Head of the Engineering Department and the Head of the Technology and Communications Department welcomed us and assigned us to the university's practical laboratories.

Scientific and practical experience:

I saw firsthand the practical application of all the theoretical subjects I had studied, starting with the Soils Lab, the Concrete and Surveying Lab, and the Materials and Asphalt Lab. We also visited a concrete lab, made field visits to a construction site under construction, attended a meeting on concrete additives, and visited an additive factory.

Other activities:

I learned a lot about Kurdish culture and the Kurdish struggle, as well as some Kurdish words. We visited the city's archaeological sites and cities, such as the Citadel of Erbil and the picturesque city of Barzan. We also made official visits to the President of the Student Union and the Democratic Party, among others.
