Electrical Engineering - Industrial Automation
Kurdistan/Iraq
Erbil Technical University
Field Training
Nature of participation:
The course included several topics, the most important of which was learning about Kurdish culture and the nature of the Kurdish people, who are generally characterized by simplicity. In addition to the recreational, tourism, and practical aspects, we conducted several experiments within the Erbil Technical University campus and visited several factories.
Scientific and practical experience:
We visited the College of Science and Technology and were trained in several labs, including the PLC, Sensor Lab, and Digital Lab. We also conducted required experiments, such as starting and stopping a reversed star-delta circuit, in order to utilize it. We also met with a number of prominent figures, including the Palestinian Ambassador Nazmi Hazouri, the Prime Minister's Advisor Dr. Hamdi, and many other important figures in the country.
Other activities:
Visiting many beautiful places in Erbil, the most important of which is the historic Erbil Citadel, which is more than 8000 years old. We also visited the Minaret, the Salafa area, and the Amadiya area. All of these areas are beautiful with their green natural scenery. We met new friends from different cultures. Erbil is known for the kindness, generosity, and love of its people. The days were some of the most beautiful days of our lives because of the people present with us. We did not feel any difference or distance from our people. There was great interest from the university staff and our Kurdish Student Union. In conclusion, we thank our distinguished university for the student exchange to get to know new areas. We thank Dr. Mutamad Al-Khatib, who is in charge of this idea. We also did not forget Fadl, who was in constant contact with us throughout the training period. We have all the respect and appreciation.
